Our Training
Throughout the course of the Fall 2014 semester during our Honors Research Seminar our group had the opportunity to participate in different exercises that cover aspects of intercultural competence. Some of these aspects we were introduced to included the iceberg model, hand-slap, DIE, Albatross, and micro-aggressions. All of these aspects helped us to refine and understand the problems facing a community, engage with a community to discern solutions, and take community resources and values into account when proposing solutions.
